The researchers have definitely been busy ... posts and cordoned off areas and the like, all very interesting. But I've not heard any new theories/conclusions as yet.

Was the hound-dog thermometer still there in Deal Cyn?west coast redhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00006885815129579742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725929327956365942.post-56677911975143319262012-04-25T08:54:03.220-07:002012-04-25T08:54:03.220-07:00"beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
..."beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

Well said. There is indeed a lot more up that canyon and a few places in the lower canyon you might not see in just one visit. But that can be said of every canyon and unfortunately we only have one lifetime to explore - the canvass is vast. To each his own, go where your eye sees beauty and return often. Even if RN is not your cup of tea, it's good you gave it a shot. What you really missed is the HUGE fields of rose that lie waiting another 6miles up that canyon - now that is something certainly worth returning for.Bryannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725929327956365942.post-17667159382470442652012-04-25T08:52:11.283-07:002012-04-25T08:52:11.283-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05431992904355238616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725929327956365942.post-46542895614739601242012-04-24T09:05:11.858-07:002012-04-24T09:05:11.858-07:00Nice walk. I agree that URN camp is pretty unremarkable but the rest of RN Canyon, including continuing upstream from the camp, is a special place.

I placed the old rusty arrowhead on the ice can stove at URN camp back in January. I found it farther upstream near some remnants from another old camp.

Cheers,
NicoNicohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06149192756547284765noreply@blogger.com
